Angular Annie

Personal work.

I have always been fascinated with tangents, angles and alignment in illustrations of the human form, and I wanted to try and create a pinup full of these things, inviting the eye to explore it.
It was a challenge, as I forcibly restricted myself to just 4 angles, and tried to make as many things as possible echo and align with other shapes across the figure.
I chose a photo of the model Marie Devilreux as a starting inspiration, and ended up with a homage to the Bettie Page style retro pinup look. I did it entirely in 3Ds Max with flat, layered polygon shapes.
Special thanks to Maria Picassó - Illustration for her inspiring great work and advice!

Benedict

Personal work.

I was watching Sherlock, and felt compelled to do a rendition of Benedict Cumberbatch and his fascinating face!
